Waking Up To
THE LAMBERT SOUND

THE LAMBERT SOUND picture

On the Morning of Friday 7th April 2000 at approximately 11.15 I attended my earliest concert ever. This gig was a "Cheltenham Connections" concert which was organised by Peter Stone especially for people with disabilities.

Some of the songs performed by THE LAMBERT SOUND were "YOU TO ME ARE EVERYTHING", "DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY", "QUANDO, QUANDO, QUANDO, (which I found funny as I had heard it the night before, when GARY WILMOT told us the true meaning of the song).

About half way through the show they bought a guest onto the Stage whom I actually felt was better than the band, he performed three songs, "LOVE ON THE ROCKS" (which was a delight to hear), "DAYDREAM BELIEVER", and a song by FRANK SINATRA which again had been performed the previous night by GARY WILMOT.

Although the music was O.K. I did not enjoy this as much as the other shows as the audience were mainly Mentally Handicapped, so I don't think I will attend any others.
